Munich, Germany - 27th January 2006
fg microtec has joined the multi-lateral industry association MobileIGNITE. MobileIGNITE stands for Mobile Integrated Go-To-Market Network IP Telephony Experience. It is an independent multi-lateral industry
association committed to FMC solutions that build on standards such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, SIP, IMS, and 802.11/16.
In November 2005 MobileIGNITE became an independent organization after originally being founded by BridgePort Networks in January 2005
as a company program. MobileIGNITE is committed to using industry collaboration to accelerate Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) by
promoting standards based end-to-end interoperable solutions that deliver converged services to improve the quality, coverage,
flexibility and cost of mobile voice and data service delivery and the mobility of Internet Protocol (IP) communication services.
MobileIGNITE holds regular meetings so that it can progress in creating interoperable solutions and best practices that bridge both
the Mobile and IP worlds. MobileIGNITE is in a unique position as its members are from service providers and vendors that are
involved in both wireless and VoIP.
