BlackBerry and Nokia VoIP apps now available to buy at fgmicrotec
Wide range of Nokia and BlackBerry devices supported
Munich, 8 December 2010. Following the recent launch of fgVOIP, a true Wi-FI SIP VoIP client for BlackBerry OS 4.6 and OS 5.0 devices, fg microtec has announced that its VoIP app shop is now open, providing both BlackBerry® and Nokia® VoIP apps.
fgVoIP app for BlackBerry enables high quality, low-delay VoIP calls via SIP on all Wi-Fi enabled OS 4.6 and OS 5.0 devices, including the BlackBerry® Curve 8520, 8900 & 9000 as well as the BlackBerry® Bold 9700.
The fgVOIP app not only enables cheap calling internationally via Wi-Fi hotspots, but its Click2Dial feature also enables calls to be made directly from emails, an SMS message and a mobile phone's address book.
Furthermore, it provides access to corporate PBX features such as call-hold, transfer or conferencing from anywhere.
Robert Mirbaha, CEO of fgmicrotec, commented on the fgVOIP ecommerce site launch: "The launch of the shop follows the release earlier in 2010 of our fgVOIP Engine as a Software Development Kit (SDK) for the BlackBerry platform, enabling developers to add full-duplex (sending and receiving) real-time voice to a BlackBerry smartphone via VoIP. We received an overwhelming response to the news of the SDK and this has driven the development work behind our VoIP apps."
"The new VoIP apps are much like having a desktop phone in your pocket, providing significantly higher overall productivity while at the same time lowering telephony costs," he concluded.
Supported BlackBerry models are Curve 8520, Curve 8900, Bold 9000 and Bold 9700.
For Nokia, the fg Nokia Mobile VoIP application is supported on several Nokia devices which include 5730, 6710 Navigator, E5-00, E51, E52, E55, E51, E52, E55, E60, E61, E61i, E63, E65, E66, E71, E71x, E72, E73, E75, E90, N79 and N80.
Support for additional BlackBerry and Nokia devices will be added in the near future.
